Do you have onsite parking?

 

Yes, we have ample onsite parking. Cars can be left overnight however, this is at your own risk and they must be collected by 11am the next day.

 

Is there a Bar?

 

Thirsk Lodge Barns has a fully stocked bar. As we are a licensed premises we operate a Challenge 25 policy, please ensure you bring photo ID with you. If you are found to have brought your own alcohol onto the premises this will be confiscated, this also includes hip flasks.

 

Do you take cash or card?

 

At weddings and private events we take both cash and cards. For ‘Bar at the Barns’, and other public events we may be card only.

 

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

 

Yes, The venue is all on one level, with smooth flooring. Accessible entry is via our trade car park, where you can drive right up to the rear doors leading into the main entrance hall.

We also have an accessible loo!

 

Are you LGBTQ+ friendly?

 

As a wedding venue we are lucky to witness love in all forms. Whilst it saddens us that this needs to be a question at all, we are aware that there is still a shocking amount of injustice and inequality in the world. Thirsk Lodge Barns welcomes every person regardless of gender, ethnicities, races, sexualities and more.

 

Do you have accommodation?

 

For weddings, we have a Farmhouse and Cottage sleeping 11 guests in total. This is booked by the couple themselves and they allocate this to their guests. Thirsk has lots of places to stay, you can find a list of our local accommodation here!

 

Please note that we do not allow camping or motorhomes on site.

 

Is there free WiFi?

 

Yes, we have complimentary guest WiFi. You should be able to connect without a passcode.

 

Catering and dietaries

 

As we do not have any in house caterers at Thirsk Lodge Barns, food for the event you are attending will have been arranged by the event organiser. If you have any dietary requirements then it is best to contact them.

 

Taxis

 

As we are a rural venue, we recommend that you book taxis a few weeks ahead of the event you are attending. For weddings, the bar closes at midnight and all guests must be off site by 12.30am so please note this when arranging your transport.
